Week 7 in My Small World QAL

Hello MSW friends,
Can you believe we've been actually working on this for seven weeks?  The time has totally flown.
I am so stoked.  I actually finished piecing my world.  Now, before you say, "how she'd do it so quickly?"  I am a quick piecer.  I didn't know this until several people commented on IG about this a year or so ago.
I was so excited about this pattern, that I just HAD to finish.  I am also glad that now the relaxing part starts.  I will lay in bed with my legs on my yoga ball and handquilt.  I'm using a variety of weights of Perle Cotton.
That includes a variety of types also.  I did buy a new white because i'm thinking I'll use lots of white.  So far I've surprised myself because I've used lots of color.  I'm doing an "X" in the center of each sky block with appropriate color. Probably a hatch stitch in the grass area.
Now, let me be real honest with you. Because I so wanted to finish piecing.  I've allowed my "other" sewing to hit the back burner.  I still have my Rainbow Mini Swap Quilt to quilt.  She's pieced but waiting.  I have two dolls to make for another swap.  I have two gifts in the form of mini quilts to make.  Lastly, my Farmer's Wife Blocks are behind.  Ah, I guess I have to blame Jen Kingwell?  Btw, I tagged her in a photo asking her to "check out" our hashtag.  I hope she realizes how great her pattern is to our community.

Alright, about that hashtag... I think we have other people who are either here with us or just doing the pattern who are NOT using our hashtag #mysmallworldqal2.
That's cool, but I don't want YOU to miss their amazing work.  so, check out #mysmallworld and a couple of other hashtags.  if you find one I haven't, let me know.

Now let me brag about a few of you guys....
Have you seen these finishes?
@wendysquiltsandmore  Her work is meticulous.  She has a great eye for color and makes things POP!  She is also handquilting and boy it's beautiful to see those hand stitches. (being I love hand quilting).
@jenniesthreads finished too.  Now, that girl... she blogged about it and I wanted to cry.... hers is amazing, she's "wrestling" with feeling the love for it, but you may read her blog post about it here...
@amy6175 finished also!!! her sentiment is much like mine, LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!  not sure what she's gonna do to quilt it.  sometimes we need to just admire the piecing..then let the quilt "speak" to us. mine is saying, you have lots of back burner work.
@stiteryyc finished, even after she broke a needle and damaged her machine.
I think those are the only ones who have finished... if you have, please let me know.  I pat myself on the back as if it were my own with each finish.
Now, are some of you beating up on yourself?  well, STOP IT!  there are people who are just joining us still.  I will be sending a weekly email until my quilt is mounted on my wall in my little abode.  and remember, i'm handquilting.
so, check out @mlourim99, she fussy cuts like no other.  @stitchmama3 made one hexiehill that made me drool.  @mightymadge put her jailbirds into a building.
the ever famous @sewwhatsherlock joined us.  remember she's the guru who provided our paper piecing templates.
@nanaofck has made progress on her quilt this week   @ellynz put raindrops in her sky.... love that, because it does rain in life.
@lemonadefish cracks me up... she has an adorable banter on her IG feed and she's extending her world to include a forest, with a CASTLE.... because let's face it, girls are raised to believe in a prince with a castle.
i'll stop monopolizing your time, GO QUILT!!!!
