we here in the USA are being affected by EL Nino....
the poor eastern coastline had a blizzard.
my gulf waters were stirred up to 12 foot waves, rip currents, and wind like crazy banshees.... this prevented open water swimming almost all week. that means i'm grumpy swimming in the pool. no sand in my toes because i'm in ugg boots, but sand inside my socks.
enough about my personal world.
people are using our hashtag #mysmallworldqal2 which makes me so giddy with joy...
i'm communicating with Sylvia from Germany who has to use only the magazine with it's little missing parts, that's exciting to find a new friend over the big blue sea. her IG handle is @teacosy1962
have you seen all the fussy cutting going on? filling up those windows, garages, and fabric panel sections is so much fun.
there's HEATHER ROSS, flowers, yoga, dancers, cats, and GHOSTS!!!!! BOO! check out @lemonadefish @behind_the_couch_quilts @amy6175 @createdbykuba to name just a few....

today Anna on IG handle @modquiltmom_anna shared her awesome organizational skills. though my techniques are a bit different, you just might adore her ideas. check out her feed. this folks is what I mean by social QAL's being so amazing... this is YOUR QAL, not mine, i'm just here to pull us all together. you are the experts!

STOP IT!!!! take a deep breath, do what you can. and those that are doing great, kudos, but go to the hashtag and spread your support to those needing encouragement. @katejacksontextiles cracked me up with her "what the h*ll was I thinking?" I know that is what has helped me be the quilter I am today, OTHERS!!!!

i'm almost done with section 3, i'm super stoked because sections four is clamshells, I've NEVER done them, but I think my OCEAN is taking place there.
in case you aren't going by sections, but doing the blocks one by one..... @marylu3336 posted about her hexagons, wowza.
LASTLY, a few have mentioned needing special fabric needs, or low volume, help a friend, I sent two packages out this week myself. and @princessmaxmama is sending me some "blessed mother" fabric from 10 years ago, TEN YEARS AGO. I can't wait to put into my quilt.
