weekly hello from my small world qal 2

hi everyone in small world land...

have you seen the activity on Instagram under our hashtag #mysmallworldqal2  ?

@jenniesthreads is making progress!
@debihock has some yoga twisting fussy cutting going on.... @ellynz has ballerinas....

@behind_the_couch_quilts is working on the blocks, as in the order Jen has in her books, instead of going section by section....
many of us made plans with @purplepoppyquilts idea

did you see @elruuska clothes line fabric??

i'm stealing @mlourim99 idea with an arrow paper pieced in her quilt
some are doing the traditional low volume sky, some rainbows, and sunsets, or a night sky....

one thing i'm loving is that you can gather ideas from another quilter....

I was successful in finishing section one.  i'm really happy with it.. i'm trying hard to make it very personal.  I've a few conversations with group members going on and we are "swapping" a few fussy cuts.

i'll work on section 2 this week, if able.... i'm finding that when I start working on it, I don't want to stop....
helping others is fun, paying it forward is awesome also. 

ask your fellow quilters to make suggestions. don't feel obligated to do what they say and don't be hurt if someone doesn't take your suggestion, that's part of life, isn't it.
encourage another.  don't worry, there's no quilt police or grades, no late assignments... this is supposed to be selfish sewing at it's best.
I love that people that didn't finish during last years quilt-a-long are joining us, aren't you?

feel free to tag each other, make ISO of fabric, make suggestions for block making, etc.

if there's something I can do to make it easier, please let me know, we're all learning as we go!
